In June 2020, the Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) officially initiated a collaboration with the EGI Foundation to enhance the development of flexible and interoperable e-infrastructures and services that support global research endeavors. Spearheaded by CNIC's CSTCloud team and delivered under the EGI-ACE international cloud integration task force, the China-Europe cloud federation provides opportunities for testing cross-continental resource federation and service delivery within and beyond the GOSC community. It takes a consolidated step forward in the exploration of infrastructure-level collaboration between China and Europe.
